<DIV STYLE="text-align:Left;"><DIV><P><SPAN>The Vilas County lidar project area covers approximately 1,027 square miles, which is countywide including a buffer around the county boundary. The lidar data was acquired by USGS as part of the 3DEP program at an average nominal point density of 8 points per square meter. Lidar data was acquired in spring 2022. Vilas County procured enhanced and derivative datasets from the USGS lidar. Project specifications are based on Vilas County requirements and on the U.S. Geological Survey National Geospatial Program LiDAR Base Specification, 2021 Revision A. The data was developed based on a horizontal projection/datum of NAD83(HARN) / WISCRS Vilas (ftUS) (EPSG Code: 7399), and vertical datum of NAVD88 - Geoid12B (Feet). These simplified contours represent the originally-provided tile-based contours that have been merged, dissolved by attribute, and then simplified with a 0.5-foot threshold. Simplification holds the overall line shape well at a 1:300 scale while reducing vertex count by over three times.</SPAN></P></DIV></DIV> |
